Prescott Engle

Prescott Engle is the Mid-Atlantic Platform President for The Hilb Group, LLC. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Shepherd College in Shepherdstown, WV with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Prescott proudly served 20 years in the US Army retiring in 1995. He had a successful career as an insurance producer before becoming the President of Paxson & Hawthorne Insurance from 2000 to 2004 at which time he acquired the firm and changed the name to Engle, Paxson & Hawthorne Insurance Services. EP&H was a Reagan Consulting “Best Practices” Insurance firm for eight consecutive years and was listed by Reagan as one of the top 6 insurance firms in the USA in 2010. EPH was acquired by The Hilb Group in 2013.

Prescott is a past Chairman of The Blue Ridge Speech and Hearing Clinic, past board member of the Professional Insurance Agents of DC/VA .  He was the National Chair for the Harleysville Mutual Agents Advisory Board. He currently is on the Board of the Washington Business Journal Leadership Trust, and is a board member and Chair of the Ways and Means committee for Congregation Sha’are Shalom in Leesburg, Va. He and his family regularly volunteer at Boulder Crest Retreat in Bluemont, Virginia, a foundation which assists Wounded Warriors with their transition back to civilian society.

Prescott resides in Leesburg, Virginia with his wife Stephanie and five of their eight children.
